The NC Education Pledge

We are excited to announce that the North Carolina Education Pledge will officially launch on June 26, 2017.  That day, we will be delivering copies of the Pledge to each member of the North Carolina General Assembly, for their consideration and signature.  We will also be participating in the press event held by Public Schools First NC and Progress North Carolina Action.  Please join us on Monday, June 26 to lend your support!  If you’d like to help meet with legislators, please meet in front of the NC Legislative Building at 12:30 pm.  The press event will follow at 3:00 pm.

Please note that the Pledge is a strictly non-partisan effort.  We believe that NC citizens across the political spectrum want their children to receive a well-rounded public education, and that legislators from both parties can agree that Specialists belong in our schools.  The Pledge has been carefully crafted to ask only for moderate, reasonable action to fix a problem caused by the NCGA.
